What is The BIG Swim?
The BIG Swim is a virtual swimming challenge taking place in September 2025. Across the month, swim 5km, 10km or 15km – or push yourself even further! We’re talking lidos, lakes, pools and more, clear headspace, and that glorious “I did it!” feeling - all while raising money to help people get the support they need to take care of their mental health and wellbeing.

Sign up right now to get your free Sport Relief T-shirt and fundraising pack, and raise £200 to get your hands (or head) on your very own Sport Relief Swimming Cap!

Jess (11) and Sophie (9) finished their BIG Swim challenge in 2024 and swam 5.9km, raising £290 between them. Well done Jess and Sophie - you're both amazing!
Every Splash Counts
Once you’re signed up, don't forget to share your fundraising page with friends, family and far and wide, to get those donations powering your challenge! Remember, if your challenge raises £200, we’ll send you a free Sport Relief Swim Cap – to really make you look the part!
By diving in this September, you’ll be helping to fund vital projects, like Open Minds Active & The Wave Project, who support the mental health of those in need, through swim and surf therapy.
