“I grew up in an area where trouble was always around the corner. I ended up in a young offender institution at 16 but was acquitted of all charges at the Old Bailey. I lost my confidence and had no path."
"When I started boxing it all changed. The gym was my escape. My coach got me volunteering. Now I run boxing sessions at a project for kids who remind me of my young self. If boxing was human, it would be my best friend.”

About the project
Fight4Change uses cash raised through Sport Relief to work with young people from some of the most disadvantaged parts of London. Encouraging them away from crime, drugs and alcohol and unemployment, this project gives young people a structured programme of boxing and personal development, and also promotes volunteering. It aims to reduce rates of offending and reoffending, encouraging young people into jobs in sport, youth work or community work.
