TK Maxx is launching an exclusive range of t-shirts for Red Nose Day 2019 designed by Disney. The limited edition tee-hee-hee shirts feature some of the most loved Disney characters and will be available in store and online from 1st February.
As one of the Red Nose Day 2019 official partners, TK Maxx will be producing and selling the range of t-shirts and accessories for both adults and children. The adults’ attire stars renowned Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Eeyore and Goofy, with the childrens’ range also featuring the much loved Dumbo, Bambi and Winnie the Pooh, all tee-hee-hee laughing and sporting red noses.
Legendary artist, Sir Peter Blake has created an exciting limited edition design, bringing Mickey Mouse and pop art together exclusively for Red Nose Day.
Renowned photographer Greg Williams has shot a whole host of amazing celebrities from the world of fashion, entertainment and sport who are pledging their support for the campaign. Amanda Seyfried, Keira Knightley, Eddie Redmayne, Carey Mulligan and Chiwetel Ejiofor are fronting this year, supported by Kate Moss, Olly Murs, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Eleanor Tomlinson, Lottie Moss, Jenna Coleman, Daisy Lowe, Sophie Dahl, Lewis Hamilton, Poppy Delevingne, Helen McCrory, Rickie, Melvin & Charlie, Aston Merrygold and Millie Mackintosh.
With prices starting at just £6.99 for a kid’s t-shirt and £9.99 for an adult tee, at least £4.50 from the sale of the adult and £2.50 from the kids’ ranges will go to Comic Relief to help vulnerable children and young people in the UK and some of the world's poorest communities. The money raised goes towards funding for gender equality, mental health issues, homelessness and helping children around the world to have the best possible start in life.
TK Maxx has supported Red Nose Day since 2005, and together with its customers has raised over £21 million for Comic Relief. In its most recent 2017 campaign, TK Maxx and Homesense raised over £4m to help Comic Relief support people who lead incredibly tough lives.
The cotton in the t-shirts is Fairtrade certified and grown by farmers in Uganda, supported by TK Maxx’s Sustainable Trade Programme. The income from the Fairtrade cotton helps cotton farmers in Ugandan communities, by empowering the farmers and providing them with increased income, so they can send their children to school and improve their life chances.
Homesense, which is part of the TK Maxx family, will also be selling limited edition Red Nose Day aprons and accessories including tea towels, water bottles, notebooks and tote bags, all featuring the much-loved Disney characters. The exclusive range will be available in Homesense stores and online at www.txmaxx.com(opens in new window) from 1st February, with the apron arriving later in the month.
