Comedian Jack Black, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and singer John Legend are uniting to join a host of worldwide stars for the first ever Red Nose Day USA(opens in new window) event on May 21, this year.
A three-hour live comedy extravaganza will see a host of famous faces come together to raise money for Comic Relief when TV network NBC airs the inaugural telethon in America.
Also confirmed for the show include actors John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Michelle Rodriguez, Nick Offerman and Jeff Goldblum.
Singers Sam Smith, Pharrell, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs will also make an appearance, as well as comedians Will Ferrell and Zach Galifanakis and many more personalities.
Americans will be able to support Red Nose Day USA by buying red noses, sold exclusively at Walgreens stores, by organizing fundraising events and by donating money on the night of TV.
Money raised will be used to help people living incredibly tough lives in the USA, in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
This year’s Red Nose Day in the UK raised £78,082,998 million and contributed to a total of more than £1 billion raised for Comic Relief over the past 30 years.
